Beltane Bliss – Lilliana Rose / #Interview #BlogTour @rararesources @LillianaRose2

Edi Court is training to be a modern-day white witch, her unique ability is healing. Emotionally wounded from her ex, Anto, she has run away from the covenant with a need to heal herself. Following her psychic ability, she finds herself south, along the coast from Melbourne Australia, where she decides to set up her own healing shop, Crystal Sands.

Voltaire is a down to earth guy, a plumber by trade, he believes only what he sees in the physical world. The loss of his mom and sister to breast cancer and his ex, who stole his money and left him with a debt to work off, has caused him to close his heart.

Can Edi stop herself from rescuing another man and landing in deep water? Or with the Beltane energies thick in the air, can this be the start of a new relationship between two wounded souls?

Volt must become a believer in the Magiks and allow his heart to heal. And Edi must learn to trust herself again.

Will a non-believer and a believer find love over Beltane?

Q&A

Enjoy!

***

– When and where do you prefer to write?

I prefer to write in the mornings (but not early, oh no!), and I love writing in cafes. I’m learning to write now in the evenings after bubs goes to sleep. Slowly, slowly I’m teaching myself to write whenever the chance arises!

– Do you have a certain ritual?

If I’m in a café I have a coffee, no food (though sometimes I break this for a dairy free cup cake). When at home, I might put on relaxing music in the background, or white noise music like the sound of thunderstorms, and I have a cup of tea to drink. At the moment, I have the TV on, which in the past has been a big no-no. I seem to like some noise in the background when writing. I have the lifestyle channel on, so it’s easy to tune out, and it’s not confronting. It’s just something that I can pause and watch if I need some thinking time of what to write next.

– Is there a drink of some food that keeps you company while you write?

Coffee! Sometimes it’s tea. And sometimes a cold drink if it is a hot day. I keep the snacks away, otherwise I’d eat too much! And to have a break for food is a good reason to get me away from the computer!

– What is your favourite book?

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by CS Lewis. I love this book when growing up, and equally as an adult. It stirs my imagination every time I read it.

– Do you consider writing a different genre in the future?

Potentially. I write in different genres already. I like to follow my creative inspiration rather than confining myself to a particular genre. Once I’ve written in a particular genre, I can’t leave it! So, I have a lot of choice when writing.

– Do you sometimes base your characters on people you know?

No, never! The characters I make up are much more interesting because while there’s a real-life potential, I’ve constructed them to engage the reader, and promote conflict and action in the story.

– Do you take a notebook everywhere in order to write down ideas that pop up?

Absolutely! I’ve even been known to write ideas down when at the stop lights! These days it’s easy to write these ideas in the note section on my smart phone.

– Which genre do you not like at all?

I don’t think I dislike any genres as such. I do like particular genres over others. For me, as a reader, I get drawn into a story based on the blurb and the journey that it can take me on rather than the genre. I think this is similar when writing a story, it’s the story and the characters that hook me in to want to write.

– If you had the chance to co-write a book. Whom would it be with?

JA Ward. Though she hardly needs me!

– If you should travel to a foreign country to do research, which one would you chose and why?

I would go back to Norway, and I’d like to go to America, and travel the Oregon Trail. Even though I’m an Aussie, my great-grandma migrated from Norway to America and went across the prairies, and I’ll like to research more about her life (I’m trying to do this already, but it’s very slow, and I’d love to do research in these countries, I should book my ticket now!).
