Deadline by Erkut Sogut / #Review @inkeditorial @sogut_dr

As transfer deadline day looms, Ander Anaia is about to make the deal of a lifetime. All that stands in his way is a rival agent.

Or so he thinks.

The Table, a secret cabal of super agents involved in ‘off-pitch’ criminal activities, have other ideas. And they’ve kidnapped his daughter, Joska, as collateral.

David Miller is about to make his first serious deal. A deal that would bring Ander’s world crashing down around him. Now Ander must do everything in his power to stop him. Or risk losing the deal – and his daughter.

Review

I love watching football, but I am most interested in the international matches. The World Cup, The European League, … I don’t want to miss any of those games.

That’s why, of course, I was thoroughly fascinated by the blurb of this book and I was thrilled to be able to read and review it.

Money makes the world go round and this is so true. Some people don’t have any scruples and they don’t think twice when they can offer often large sums to get what they want. Sometimes they add a bunch of lies and a bit of blackmail to the mix or they count on the help of some seedy people to make their point.

Does this only count in the world of football? No! I guess where a lot is at stake some people would try every trick in the book.

I was intrigued by the story and I even googled some things. I was wondering if some of the characters were real or not.

A good debut. 4 stars.

Thank you, Erkut Sogut and Ink Editorial
