A second chance…With her first love!
Lady Brenna Stewart is grateful to be saved from her burning carriage—only her rescuer is Laird Garrick MacLean, the man she once loved and lost! He seems determined to protect her from the unknown enemy pursuing her across the Scottish Highlands. But, bitterly hurt by his past betrayal, she needs answers. Why did he abandon her? And how can she keep her heart safe now, when the connection between them is as strong as ever…
Did or do you like to read comic books/grapic novels? Which ones?
I’ve never really read comic books or graphic novels.
Whom did you inherit your love for books/reading from?
My parents took me to the library to get as many books as I could weekly when I was young, and my Grandmother was a voracious reader, especially of romance. I think all of them shaped my love of books and reading.
When you need a murder victim or someone you can diagnose with a serious disease or someone who is involved in a fatal accident do you sometimes picture someone nasty you have met in real life and think ‘got you’ LOL?
No. Generally, the characters I imagine don’t look like people I have already known or seen in real life or the movies.
How do you come up with the names for your characters?
Usually, character names come to me from the dialogue or the scene that has already developed in my mind. If they haven’t, I reference a book called Name Your Baby by Lareina Rule for character names.
Do write other things beside books (and shoppinglists 😉 )?
I love to write blogs and short stories.
If a movie or series would be made from your books, would you be happy with the ‘based on’ version or would you rather like they showed it exactly the way you created it?
I wouldn’t mind a based-on version as I think not everything on the page translates well to the screen. I would be thrilled to have anything opted for the movies or a tv series!
Who would you like/have liked to interview?
Agatha Christie, Jane Austen, and the Bronte sisters.
Do you have certain people you contact while doing research to pick their brains? What are they specialized in?
I don’t, but I wish I did!
Is there someone you sometimes discuss a dilemma with?
I often ask two of my writing friends for help, Tanya, my critique partner, and Harper, who also writes historical romance.
What is more important to you : a rating in stars with no comments or a reviewer who explains what the comments they give are based on (without spoilers of course)
I love written reviews, even if they absolutely hate the book. It helps me to see what they like and don’t like in my story or characters.
