Arresting Onyx book 2.5
Wrong place, wrong time. Now she’s running for her life.
Beautician Chanel Leroc can wield a pair of scissors like nobody’s business. After she witnesses a murder and lands on a serial killer’s hit list, she has to figure out how to protect herself—and fast. The killer tracks her down, but her sexy new neighbor, Dr. Ryan Naylor, drives the brute off.
The police dump the pair in a witness protection program, which doesn’t last long. Either the killer has a connection to the police, or he’s far more intelligent than they realize. All Chanel wants to do is get back to her safe life and get to know her neighbor better. Instead, she and Ryan hit the road and try to survive on their own.
How will they stay alive and keep their blooming romance intact with the killer hot on their trail?

Q&A
Whom did you inherit your love for books/reading from?
My mom loved to read ’80s and ’90s bodice rippers when I was little, and all those scantily-clad men and women on the covers drew my attention. I read my first Harlequin when I was 12, and I’ve been hooked on romance books ever since.
Where can I find you when you are reading?
I have this comfy bench in my office that’s perfect for reading. It’s right in front of a window and squeezed in between two bookshelves. If I’m not there, I’m either in bed or on the deck reading.
Where can I find you when you are not writing/reading?
My hubby, Greg, and I love to binge watch TV shows (our favorites are Supernatural and Star Trek: TNG), so you’ll find us as couch potatoes in the living room. We also love to hike, ride our bikes, play with our cats, and challenge each other to a card or board game.
What goes through your mind when you hold your new book in your hands for the first time?
Awe, surprise, humility, pride, vindication—all these emotions and more rush through me. I marvel at the weight of the book and how the colors pop on the cover. I love the new-book smell too.
What is your favourite and least favourite genre?
I read in most sub-genres of romance, except for Inspirational, but my favorite is a tie between romantic suspense and paranormal. I suppose, in that respect, Inspirational is my least fav.
Do you read non-fiction?
I do. I love history books. I’ve dedicated an entire bookshelf to world civilization texts, Ancient and Medieval periods, Greek, Roman, and Egyptian culture and mythology, Native American legends, Scottish history, American history, and more.
Say someone asks if they can use your name in a book. Would you rather be the ‘good one’ or the ‘bad one’?
It wouldn’t matter to me. Just being asked is honor enough. Besides, I wouldn’t want to stomp on an author’s creativity by throwing a fuss about said character who has my name.
Have you already started writing a new book?
Yes. There’s never a point when there isn’t at least one book already in the works. I’m hard at work getting Arresting Benjamin, book three in the Arresting Onyx series, ready for publication.
What is the title of the next book on your to read pile?
I have no idea. Since I have over 1000 ebooks on my Kindle and around 600 paperback romances in my office, I don’t usually know what I plan to read until I start searching for something.
Thank you
