The Art of Letting Go’ is a collection of poems- all about making peace with loss, accepting the absence and moving on. It’s for the seekers searching for a new home, for the wanderers leaving their old homes, for the lovers creating a home wherever they are. Sometimes you hold on to what is left, sometimes you just let go to start afresh.
First of all I would like to say that I adored the cover. It fits the contents of the book perfectly.
Poetry … It’s not really something I would chose to read every day, but sometimes you have to change your boundaries and go out of your comfort zone to see what the world of literature has to offer.
This book is filled with poems about loss and closure and for me it was heavy stuff. It takes you back to things you went through in the past and although it might re-open some wounds it may also bring some solace and give you a push to go on.
If you are struggling, give it a try. No need to finish the book in one go. You can take you time and read one a day, one a week, one a month, … at your leisure.
They are beautiful and I am happy I took the time to open my mind to them. 4 stars.
Thank you, Sanhita Baruah.
