Q&A
– When and where do you prefer to write?
When I first started in my career, I wrote at night. I’ve shifted to the mornings now. But, if I’m deep into a story I will write every chance I get.
– Do you have a certain ritual?
I write early in the morning, take a break to work out, and then return to writing/ marketing until school pick up.
– Is there a drink of some food that keeps you company while you write?
Just water J (I’m incredibly boring!)
– What is your favourite book?
Ah… too many to list.
– Do you consider writing a different genre in the future?
I currently write both Romantic Comedy and Cozy Mystery. I also have an idea for a Women’s Fiction novel. J
– Do you sometimes base your characters on people you know?
None of my characters are based on one specific person. I have combined personalities of people I’ve known to create new characters.
– Do you take a notebook everywhere in order to write down ideas that pop up?
Yes! Or I use my phone if an idea strikes when I’m out and about.
– Which genre do you not like at all?
I’m not a fan of horror or paranormal. I’m a big chicken. HA!
– If you had the chance to co-write a book. Whom would it be with?
My book, One Way Ticket was co-written with the fabulous Kate O’Keeffe. It was such a fun experience.
– If you should travel to a foreign country to do research, which one would you chose and why?
Italy, Australia, the UK—so many places.
