DI Tanner #4

A body caught on the end of a mast, another skewered by a rhond hook, and a chain of evidence Tanner cannot accept.

As a twisting gale howls its way over Barton Broad, DS Jenny Evans joins a handsome old friend to help rescue the crew of an overturned boat. But when they discover a body, snagged on the end of the mast, one murder soon follows another, leaving DI John Tanner with a race against time, desperate to prove that the most obvious suspect isn’t who everyone seems to think it is.

Set within the mysterious beauty of the Norfolk Broads, this fast-paced British detective series is a dark cozy murder mystery with a slice of humour and a touch of romance, one that will have you guessing until the very end, when the last shocking twist is finally revealed.

Di Tanner is back with a vengeance and I am thrilled about it!

This time he and his team are dealing with not only a few very hot cases but it all starts with a cold one.

Jenny is being Jenny. Teasing her boyfriend John constantly and I always find this very funny. I sometimes feel a bit sorry for him too, but it proves she loves him. You only tease the people you truely like, don’t you?

This time she is even more subborn than ever and I often felt like shouting that she, for once in her life, had to shut up and listen. Of course, she doesn’t and it’s driving John (and me too lol) up the walls. I loved it. I guess this is what the author was aiming for and in my case it worked perfectly ;).

I finished the book in one day. The author has the ability to keep you glued to the pages of his story.

This series is getting better and better and if I have to pick a favorite it would be this one. DI Tanner, I hope to meet up again soon. 5 stars.

Thank you, David Blake and Book On The Bright Side Promo and Publicity
