The Truth Behind the Mask by W.L. Brooks / #Interview #BlogTour @pumpupyourbook

Is Alexandra McKay the reason her sister Fletcher left town? Yes. Does that mean Alex wants to put her life on hold to bring the little beast back? No! But when she discovers her sister’s been abducted, Alex will do whatever it takes to rescue her.

Giving up his PI gig was tough, but Jake Keller would rather do that any day than partner up with Alexandra McKay. Unfortunately, if he wants to find his friend Fletcher, he has to work with Her Royal Pain-in-the-Behind-ness. Hot or not, the woman makes his jaw twitch.

Forced together by circumstance, and ensnared in a web of clues, the pair submit to their undeniable passion. But if they’re unwilling to face the truth, they will risk not only Fletcher’s life but their own chance at happiness.

Q&A

When and where do you prefer to write?

I usually prefer writing in the morning. I sit at the desk in my home office, which I call my writing nook.

Do you have a certain ritual?

Nope, no ritual.

Do you like a drink or something to nibble on while you write?

I almost always have a cup of coffee by my side.

Do you consider writing a different genre or do you already do that?

I enjoy writing Romantic Suspense, but I do have a Paranormal Romance out called: Between Death and Destiny.

What is/are your favorite book(s)?

I have a multitude of favorite books, but here are three: Mr. Perfect by Linda Howard, The Stand by Stephen King, and The Host by Stephenie Meyer.

Do you sometimes base your characters on people you know?

Not intentionally, no.

If you had the chance to co-write a book. Whom would it be with?

Wow, there are some amazing authors out there, but the first name to pop into my head is Sarah J. Maas.

Do you take a (digital) notebook everywhere in order to write down ideas that pop up?

Nope, but I keep telling myself I should take better notes.

Which genre(s) do you not like at all?

I can’t think of one I don’t like at all.

If you should travel to a foreign country to do research, which one would you chose and why?

I’d have to say Egypt, it’s so rich in history and mystery.

Thank you, W.L. Brooks and Pump Up Your Book
