On the morning of her wedding, Lillian White awakes with a hangover from hell, a naked stranger and no recollection of the previous night. As her eyes become focused the panic sets in as the once intimate, romantic Bridal Suite resembles the aftermath of a wild, drunken party. Unread messages flood her inbox from her soon Husband-to-be but with only hours to spare, can she still go through with the wedding?
Q&A
1. Do you always take a book/e-reader wherever you go?
Yes! I can’t help myself, especially if its one of those reads that you just can’t put down! Holidays, day trips out or visiting relatives a book will be in my bag.
2. Say someone asks if they can use your name in a book. Would you rather be the ‘good one’ or the ‘bad one’?
Probably the good one although dark characters seem to be remembered more, we all love a baddy!
3. Where can I find you when you are reading?
If the weather is good, I’ll be sunning myself on the patio with a great book – away from noise; tv or music. Silence please!
4. Where can I find you when you are not writing/reading?
Sat at my desk! As a self-published author I’m always searching new ways to market & network my book. I also love to run (energy permitting!) and cycle with my family.
5. Can you walk past a bookstore without going inside?
If I walk past a traditional, family-run type store with the familiar cacophony of smells I’d have to go in.
6. What are you most proud of?
My children, previous job promotions, publishing my book, running a half marathon, and speaking in front of an audience.
7. What goes through your mind when you hold your new book in your hands for the first time?
An overwhelming sense of achievement, excitement, hope, and promise.
8. What piece of advice would you give to aspiring writers?
Don’t worry about logistics, just write! Don’t compare your writing style just be you and let the words flow.
9. Who would you like/have liked to interview?
Amanda Prowse. I’ve met her once and she just oozes charm and character. A gorgeous, warm, fun, and incredibly talented lady.
10. When and where do you prefer to write?
Generally, at my desk on my laptop but I make notes on-the-go either on my phone or in a notebook.
