Lilac Noble must face the traumatic experiences of her childhood before she can conquer the dark entities that have wreaked havoc on her family. On this epic journey, Lilac undergoes the destructive process of spiritual enlightenment in order to lift the veil of darkness and shame that has obscured her youth. As Lilac unlocks painful memories of abuse, suppressed in her subconscious from years of fear-based conditioning, she uncovers menacing secrets feeding the evil within her generational bloodline. In an attempt to vanquish the sinister energies, Lilac finds the courage to discover her inner truth, vulnerability, and authenticity, as she awakens her divine light and overcomes her debilitating fears of the past. Lilac’s unconditional love for her family guides her through her process of healing and transformation, fuelling her instinct for survival and her burning desire to illuminate the world.

Spanning two continents and three generations, this inspirational novel portrays the best and worst of humanity and shows how the “tiniest spark of light can overcome the darkness of any magnitude,” through forgiveness, compassion, and the most powerful force in the universe – Love.

Lilac’s story begins in the small country of Georgia located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, over the Caucasus mountains, situated at the eastern end of the Black Sea, with Turkey and Armenia to the South, Azerbaijan to the East, and Russia to the North. In the 1950s, Georgia was part of the communist country of the former Soviet Union or USSR.

Understanding Georgian culture is challenging as it is very ancient. The first settlements of this territory appeared many thousand years ago. Georgian museums house multiple archeological findings from the Bronze Age, and there is evidence of developed viticulture in the region dating back at least 8,000 years. The unique Georgian language includes a distinct dialect of independent alphabets that are firmly rooted in religious scriptures.

Lilac was born at a time when most Georgians did not recognize women as equals. They believed a woman’s place was in the kitchen, and her duty was to serve her husband and produce heirs, most specifically sons, to continue the family heritage. It is essential to understand this way of life as Georgia was also the birthplace of Lilac’s parents, Mira and Dragan.

Mira was the beloved eldest daughter born to Davit and Tamara Kartvel, a prestigious, well-known, prominent family of Tbilisi, Georgia’s capital and largest city. She was very pampered and spoiled by all her aunts, uncles, and grandparents, and especially by her father, Davit. Mira was the apple of her father’s eye. She was raised with strict values and traditions and was a gifted solo pianist, mastering classical music such as Chopin’s sonatas and the four ballades, thus graduating from the Russian Music Conservatory at only fifteen years of age.

As a young girl, Mira was slim and exotic-looking with sharp features, and by her teen years resembled the young Italian movie star Sophia Lauren, who had become Hollywood famous in the early 1960s. Mira’s high cheekbones, perfectly arched eyebrows, and sweetheart-shaped face, framed by lustrous long ebony hair, attracted every member of the male species.

Mira’s natural beauty caused a lot of friction between Mira and her mother, Tamara, a straightforward, religious woman who had not been blessed with the same looks as her daughter. Tamara was the harsh disciplinarian of the family. She did not like to show emotion or demonstrate any affection towards Mira or her other three daughters, but despite her cold exterior, she was a good person.
