The White and Gold People – Segun Starchild / #Interview #BlogTour @rararesources @Akashic84

A dress causes a huge debate across the world as some see it as black and blue and others see it as white and gold. The white and gold people suddenly start to get even stranger visions and develop super human abilities making the black and blue people seem old and inadequate. The government try to quarantine and control their power but the white and gold people react setting the stage for a war between the rival groups.

Q&A

– When and where do you prefer to write?

I mostly write at home because it’s the most comfortable. I can eat, drink, use my second screen and  play music in the background. Plus, refer to any resources like books or notes that can help.

– Do you have a certain ritual?

No not specifically although when I start a new book I’m super excited and get the first 2 or 3 chapters done really quickly

– Is there a drink of some food that keeps you company while you write?

I mentioned that earlier, lol. Depends how I’m feeling, but I have a coffee maker at home and a protein shake goes down well.

– What is your favourite book?

The Ultimate Frontier by Eklal Kueshana.

– Do you sometimes base your characters on people you know?

Yes, I write some characters based on myself. One was a 13 year old boy in my ‘Kamun vs. Leviathan’ book and the other was LaShawn in ‘The White & Gold People’. And I also use elements of people’s characters if not base an entire character based on people I know. But that’s only been once.

– Do you take a notebook everywhere in order to write down ideas that pop up?

No, I use my phone now but I’ve got lots of notes I take when researching books for my on-fiction titles.

– Which genre do you not like at all?

I can’t say I dislike any but I tend not to read romance although I part read one which was pretty cool. Something like confessions of an office secretary……it was pretty raunchy.

– If you had the chance to co-write a book. Whom would it be with?

I would say Stephen King, he is a legend and I’m pretty certain it would be made into a TV show or movie too.

– If you should travel to a foreign country to do research, which one would you chose and why?

Gambia. It’s hot peaceful and the locals are friendly.
