Birds Eye View by TK Ray / #Interview #BlogTour @pumpupyourbook

A Bird’s Eye View is a twisted tale of deception with acts of love overshadowed by the pains of a trouble teen. As traces of laughter and love are left amongst the whispers of chilling prayers, this once tight knit family faces a rollercoaster of emotions and a call to heal. This blindsided attack leaves the family devastated and takes this family on a journey none of them could prepare for

When and where do you prefer to write?

I prefer to write at home either at my desk or set up in my bed. The mood has to be set with candles, low music and positive energy.

Do you have a certain ritual?

At times I will have a glass of wine to loosen up, I typically pray before writing, for God to send me the words, the story, the direction. Once I feel connected I begin. My writing process is entirely spiritual.

Do you like a drink or something to nibble on while you write?

I typically have a glass of wine and set myself up with a few snacks to nibble on as I go, nothing too heavy.

Do you consider writing a different genre or do you already do that?

As I expand on y writing career I do hope to expand into other genres.

What is/are your favourite book(s)?

I know why the caged bird sings- Maya Angelou

Eat pray Love- Elizabeth Gilbert

A million Little Pieces- James Frey

My sisters Keeper- Jodi Picoult

Tao Te Ching- Stephen Mitchell

The Alchemist- Paulo Coelho

The Power of Now-Eckhart Tolle

Do you sometimes base your characters on people you know?

Ive used character traits not necessarily people.

If you had the chance to co-write a book. Whom would it be with?

Jodi Picoult. I love her writing style and emotion she expresses in her stories. I would love to co- write a story with her!

Do you take a (digital) notebook everywhere in order to write down ideas that pop up?

I have a notebook in my purse for this. Or I use my phone to jot ideas down. My “Notes” section in my iPhone is filled up with notes and ideas!

Which genre(s) do you not like at all?

I’m not sure I’ve read all genres Id like to to even see! Science fiction may not be one that I like, not sure however!

If you should travel to a foreign country to do research, which one would you chose and why?

I would go to Italy! I have part Italian in me and would love to go there for further research on my family history as well as the history of Italy’s infamous food and wine sector.

Her wellness blog embodies all of who she is as she has expanded on her writing style to help others follow their passion, peace and purpose. Tk’s writing style is sure to leave you on the edge of your seat as she paints a portrait of pain drawn out by the light in her own fighting spirt.
