My review
This is the first psychological thirller by this author and I was pleasantly surprised. There are different kinds of thrillers : past paced ones that make your head spin straight from the start or those that take off a bit slower, but where you have the feeling of being dragged into a whirlpool towards the end. This story is one of the latter.
The author gives us the chance to see the story from the point of view of 2 of the main characters alternated with flash backs. Although I had an inkling about how it would turn out partially, I did not feel like it diminished the reading pleasure.
It goes without a doubt that the author knows how to keep the reader hanging by only stepping on the gas pedal at the very last moment. Make sure your seat belt is fastened.
A good book with a subject of which you would have thought it should have been accepted a long time ago. Well, apparently not. 4 stars.

The Orchid Girls is her first psychological thriller.
Lesley spends her days writing in coffee shops in Kings Cross where she lives and works as a librarian. She loves the atmosphere and eclectic mix of people in the area. Lesley discovered Patricia Highsmith as a teenager and has been hooked on psychological thrillers ever since. She is particularly interested in the psychology of female relationships.
