Your daughter drowned. You know it wasn’t an accident.
Anna Applegate’s daughter, Michelle, drowned after a night out with a friend. Anna’s convinced Michelle’s death was deliberate, and that her boyfriend, sports star Jack Marsh, killed her.
As Investigator Andrew Hunter begins to dig into the case, he quickly discovers Jack has a history of violence. And, with only his teammate for an alibi, Andrew is convinced Jack’s lying about where he was the night Michelle died.
But Andrew has more to worry about than just finding out the truth about Michelle’s death, because a former case is back to haunt him—someone willing to put Andrew’s loved ones in terrible danger to get what he wants…
You know the feeling when you can get your hands on a book that is being published, written by one of your favourite authors? Well, actually that is a feeling I seem to have a lot lately. And I just love it. LOL
It’s like Christmas, Easter and every other holiday are all on the same day almost every single day of the week. Lucky me!
Yesterday I was one happy camper because I had the pleasure to devour the third part in this excellent series.
Andrew Hunter is a character I like very much and then there is wonderful, mysterious, fun Jenny. Every time I hope the author will tell us more about her … Yes, he feeds us a little snippet here and there, but there is still so much to uncover. I love and hate it at the same time. I truely am dying of curiosity. And of course auntie Gem. The author could not have chosen a better name for her, because she sure is a gem.
This author hit pay dirt and struck gold once again. The story was interesting and intriguing, sprinkled with a bit of humour 5 stars.
Thank you, Kerry Wilkinson, Bookouture and Netgalley.

About the author
Kerry Wilkinson is from the English county of Somerset but has spent far too long living in the north. It’s there that he’s picked up possibly made-up regional words like ‘barm’ and ‘ginnel’. He pretends to know what they mean.
He’s also been busy since turning thirty: his Jessica Daniel crime series has sold more than a million copies in the UK; he has written a fantasy-adventure trilogy for young adults; a second crime series featuring private investigator Andrew Hunter and the standalone thriller, Down Among The Dead Men.
