Love Heart Lane #5

There’s a newcomer to the village of Heartcross and she’s never been more in need of a friend.  Ella is ready to start afresh ––and that could mean there’s love on the horizon in the form of the gorgeous Roman, the local water taxi driver. Every day Roman is there to ferry Ella to the restaurant on the other side of the lake and every night he makes sure she gets home safe. But Roman has secrets of his own…

Can the Love Heart Lane community offer Ella a chance of a new life? Or will the ghosts of her past catch up with her?

Review

Normally the stories start in Heartcross, but not this time. The author takes to England for the prologue, but soon we jump on a train to Scotland where the real fun begins.

Fun is what I call this series. The books have everything they need to entertain the readers: a fair amount of romance, mixed with some drama and humour and a lot of friendship.

When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. That’s very true. You have to try and leave the bad things behind and look forward to the future, but honestly what is lemonade without some sugar? And that’s taken care of by friends who support you through and through and that special one.

Every cloud has a silver lining. It seems like Ella’s were black and she did not really see a way out, but that’s what Heartcross does: turning someone’s life around, making the clouds disappear and making you smile like you never smiled before.

Once you arrive in the little village, you never want to leave and honestly who would want to? It’s a place where you are accepted, loved and found happiness. It sounds like heaven on earth. 😊

This was part 5 of the series and I still cannot get enough. Book 6? Yes, please. Any time. 5 stars.
