About the Author

Joe Byrd, a communications pioneer, authored the first book produced for a major publisher using desktop publishing, created the first digital photography website and developed the first series of conferences for the camera phone. After thirty years of research including visiting Giverny and exhibitions in the U.S. and France, he wrote his first novel about the personal life of Claude Monet.

He and his wife live near their children and grandchildren in the San Francisco Bay area. They enjoy traveling throughout Europe and visiting Monet’s homes and the museums that feature his work.
