Review

I had the pleasure of reading one of this author’s books before and when she contacted me and offered me her new book, I did not have to think twice. It was a big yes from me, because I loved her writing style and the way she could capture my attention.

At first sight, you would say it’s a romantic novel and yes you are not wrong, but the author did not stop there. She added some suspense in the mix and the whole was just tasty. (Still licking my fingers while writing this review. 😉 )

So what do we have here?

  • a devastating opener that had me reaching for a tissue (or two)
  • a budding romance with a lot of ups and downs (I sometimes wanted to kick a certain person)
  • a few very devious people who obviously don’t stop at nothing when it means getting what they want (I definitely wanted so slap someone here)
  • great friends and a loving family who have your back whenever, where ever (loved them all)
  • and a happy ending (of course 🙂 )

I really loved, loved this story and I am very pleased to see the author decided to make it the first of a series which means the readers are in for more than one treat.

Have you never read one of this author’s books? I would say please consider it, because if this is a genre you enjoy, you will fall in love with her books. 5 stars.

Thank you, Jo Lambert

About the author

I’m Jo Lambert. I live in the West Country, a place where I have based all my novels. I write contemporary romance with a difference.  The stories deal with families and communities too. So there’s a modern day saga element. But there’s also drama; lots of it.
