The end of our marriage was only the beginning…
Last night, we celebrated our anniversary. Over candlelight, we talked about the children, our work, and I was so happy, and felt so loved.
But the next morning, when I check my phone, there is a message. From a friend. And a string of photos appear of my husband, Will, with another woman: walking along the street holding hands. Going into fancy hotels. Standing at a window, his arms around her, her head on his shoulder…
I beg Will to tell me what’s going on. But all he can say is that it’s not what I think. As if the betrayal wasn’t bad enough, he won’t even be honest with me.
And now there’s someone watching our house. Will is acting like a stranger and I think he’s following me. I can’t trust him anymore, and I desperately need to know who sent me those photos and why.
But maybe Will is telling the truth.
Maybe it’s not what I think.
Because the more the two of us tear each other apart, the more I wonder if I ever knew him at all – and what I’ll have to risk to protect my children.
And when at last the secrets are revealed, will the truth save our family, or destroy us all?

Review
People often jokingly say that something did not happen when there aren’t any photos that can be used as proof. This means it works both ways and when some incriminating photos land on your phone, the only conclusion you can come to is that they must reflect reality.
And that of course is when the cat is let out of the bag. Emotions bubble over and the ability to think clearly and rationally flies out of the window. Your mind is fixed on that one conclusion. The question though is, are you ready to listen or are you too deep in your own ideas of what went on?
When people are deeply hurt and wallow in the pain, they are the best victims for manipulation ever. It goes without saying that some sharks are lurking in the vicinity, ready to pounce.
The author really created a web where the characters were entangled in. How were they ever going to get out of their dire situations? The answer to this and a lot more questions is what this incredible story is about. I loved the knots and had a great time seeing the plot revealed. 5 stars
